Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) began as the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott. After being diagnosed with cancer, Alex decided she wanted to create a lemonade stand to help find cures for all children with cancer. Since that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement. To date, the ALSF has raised more than $30 million and supports over 100 research projects.
Alex passed away in 2004. But you can continue her mission by hosting your own lemonade stand. It's a great way to get kids involved in supporting a worthy cause, and it's lots of fun, too.
